The project is conceived around the client’s desires for freedom of movement and two vectors of the existing lot. The circulation helps to negotiate the odd parameters of the site. It is a physical and phenomenal connection between the program within and the landscape without. Drawing on the client’s large art collection and the desire for open, light-filled space, the circulation carves a void through the house to create multi-faceted vertical spatial connections that open up unique perspectives as you move through the house. Craft, quality and attention to detailing reinforce the minimal aesthetics while emphasizing light.
