FRAMEWORK
This 28 unit project consists of four seven-unit multi-family structures just two blocks away from Sloan’s Lake. The design takes advantage of city and mountain views while gathering around a private urban park and garden. The project creates a community within the neighborhood. Conceptually Framework explores the lighting + spatial conditions of vertical units through porosity + connectivity. This project was designed for LEED Gold certification and is solar ready with dedicated circuit and roof square footage to exceed average electrical power usage for the units.
Framework at Sloan’s Lake explores the unique dialogue of connectivity through a series of scales. The site exists between the macro scale of the mountains/plains/city, and the micro scale of the site/user. There is an active neighborhood energy that draws people to the lake which provides gathering spaces for community activities. 17th street, the site’s southern boundary, connects directly to Mile High Stadium 6 blocks to the east. The project serves as a catalyst for new urban infill development in a transitioning area. The site was selected for the proximity to local amenities and the unusually high elevation that provides spectacular 360-degree views of mountains, city lights, and lake activities.
