REDFEATHER RESIDENCE
Located northwest of Fort Collins, in the Red Feather Lakes area, the project's layout takes its queues from the existing ecosystem of montane mammals and birds.
Observing the local fauna's desire to retreat into the safety and security of the varied levels of exposure within the rock outcroppings, the design team created a multi mass assemblage of spaces sheltered under a single sloping roof.
Using a monolithic yet varied palate of materials and forms, the project creates a new ecosystem of porosity and shadow while maintaining a sympathetic position to the existing land and the prehistoric geology that attracted our clients to this area.
